It began at home.
Growing up, I watched my mother and sisters do what millions of Indian women do every day—constantly adapting. They balanced work, family, fitness, travel, and social lives with incredible resilience. Yet there was one thing that never seemed to keep up with them: what they wore.
Their wardrobes were often built for occasions, expectations, or aesthetics—but rarely for movement. Simple things like walking faster, climbing stairs, commuting, stretching, playing a sport, or running between meetings often meant adjusting clothes instead of simply living in them.
That stayed with me.
At the same time, India is changing.
More women than ever are entering the workforce, building businesses, pursuing careers, prioritizing health, and choosing active lifestyles. Their ambitions have evolved. Their routines have evolved. Their clothing should evolve too.
When you look at the world's most developed economies, one common characteristic stands out: women participate in the workforce at significantly higher rates, with greater financial independence and freedom to pursue opportunities. Economic growth is not only about infrastructure or technology—it is also about enabling half the population to participate fully.
While clothing alone cannot solve the gender gap, we believe it can remove one small but meaningful barrier by giving women the confidence and comfort to move through every part of their day.
That belief became SABI.
